Isidor Lot (Paris)
Isidor Lot was the nephew of Louis Lot and the flutes he created show the same high levels of skill and craftmanship. My flute, number 690, was bought at a Gardiner Houlgate auction and was lovingly restored by Steve Tadd (www.stevetadd.co.uk/). It plays beautifully and is truly effortless to blow.

The design of the three way clutch at the back shows the high standard of Isidor Lot's work.

Although Isidor Lot's workshop was in La Couture Boussey this flute is marked Isidor Lot (Paris). The history of the Lot family has been researched by Giannini Tula in her excellent book (see mysite.pratt.edu/~giannini/).
