Selmer Prelude
After deciding to return to learning the flute after a break of 35 years this was the instrument my wife bought for me to get me started on. It's a good beginners flute but needs constant fiddling (about once  week) with a tiny screwdriver to get the pads in line. However, as an entry level flute its fine and good value for money.

I used to think that the split E mechanism was a good idea when I first started, but after level three it got to be a bit of an annoyance. However, I decided to keep this flute as its a good idea to have an inexpensive flute to use when travelling.
